What is Summer Classic?

WARRIOR AFFILIATE LEAGUE in association with RockTape and Signs Rx presents

“SUMMER CLASSIC” Team and Individual Functional Fitness/ CF Competition

SUMMER CLASSIC is an Individual (Men, Women, Men’s Masters 40+) and Mixed Pairs Team Functional Fitness Competition for athletes of all skill levels.

REFUND POLICY:

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS TO FUTURE EVENTS. NO EXCEPTIONS. There will be no shirt size/type changes after final order date. Athlete substitution up until the day of event by having your substitute athlete sign your team waiver on event day.

  • TEAMS – MIXED PAIRS (MF) – INTERMEDIATE

ADVANCED – Able to perform weight loads and gymnastic movements without scaling. Minimum requirements Snatch 155#/105#, C+J 185#/125#, Deadlift 275#/205#, Bar Muscle Ups, Handstand Walk/HSPU, Toes 2 bar, Chest 2 bar pull ups.

SCALED – Moderate/Light Weight-loads, with modified gymnastics movements. Minimum Requirements Snatch 115#/65#, C+J 135#/85#, Deadlift 185#/155#, Wall walks, Toes 2 bar, chin-over bar pull up.

MIXED PAIRS – Hybrid co-ed division in which weight-loads are slightly heavier than Scaled but lighter than Advanced. At least one person on team must be able to perform Bar Muscle Ups, Handstand Push ups, Toes 2 bar, Chin-over bar pull ups.

INDIVIDUAL TEST 1: SHAKA BRAH (EVENTS 1-2)

PART A (E1) FOR TIME:

60 DOUBLE-UNDERS (Scaled – 100 Single-Unders)

– Then Immediately perform –

PART B (E2) AMRAP (with remaining time):

10 Handstand Push-ups (Scaled – 3 Wall Walks)
15 Power Snatch
20 Toes to Bar
25 Wall Ball Shots

Barbell – ADV 135/95, INT 95/65, M 40+ 95, MIXED 95

– 1 MINUTE REST: Then immediate perform TEST 2 –

WORKOUT DESCRIPTION
PART A (E1) On 3-2-1…Go! Athlete will perform 60 DUs*. Once 60 DUs are completed, time will be recorded.

*Scaled divisions will perform 100 single-unders in lieu of DUs.

PART B (E2) With remaining time, Athlete will then immediately perform as many repetitions as possible of 10 HSPU*, then 15 Power Snatches, then 20 T2B, then 25 WB shots. This sequence of movements and rep scheme will continue until time expires.

*Scaled divisions will perform 3 wall walks in lieu of HSPU.

SCORING
PART A: Time to complete 60 DUs
PART B: Total repetitions completed before the time cap

Time cap: 7 minutes.

INDIVIDUAL TEST 2: HANG 10 (EVENT 3)

AMRAP in 5 MIN:

10 Front Squat
10 Chest to Bar Pull Ups (Scaled chin-over bar)
10 Shoulder to Overhead

Barbell – ADV 135/95, Scaled 95/65, M 40+ 95, MIXED 95

AT THE COMPLETION OF 1-MINUTE REST AFTER TEST 1, ATHLETE MAY THEN MOVE FORWARD TO BEGIN TEST 2

WORKOUT DESCRIPTION
On 3-2-1…Go! Athlete will perform 10 Front Squats, then 10 C2B pull ups, then 10 Shoulder to overhead. This sequence will continue until time expires. The athlete’s score will be the total number of repetitions completed before time expires.

SCORING: Total reps completed

Time cap: 5 minutes

INDIVIDUAL TEST 3: BARBELL LADDER (EVENT 4)

BARBELL LADDER

2 Cleans (Power or Squat)

Men – 95, 115, 135, 155, 185, 205, 225, 245, 265 lbs.
Women- 65, 75, 85, 95, 105, 125, 135, 145, 165 lbs.

Athlete will have 1-minute to make as many attempts as possible to successfully lift a pre-loaded barbell. A successful lift is required to move onto the next pre-loaded barbell.

WORKOUT DESCRIPTION
On 3-2-1… Go! Athlete will approach pre-loaded bar and perform a barbell complex of 2 cleans. A power or squat clean will be accepted. Complex is touch in and go in which the athlete must maintain the grip of the barbell throughout the lift without resting the barbell on the floor between repetitions. Athlete may rest barbell in the rack position prior to attempting second clean of the complex, otherwise a NO-REP will be given. A successful lift is a completion of 2 cleans from the floor. A successful lift must be performed as a prerequisite to advance to the next pre-loaded barbell of the ladder. This will continue until the athlete fails to successfully lift the pre-loaded barbell at that particular station. Barbell complex lift must be completed within time cap of 1 minute per station. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Score: Load of heaviest successful lift performed by the athlete

INDIVIDUAL TEST 4: FLOATER (EVENTS 5-6)

500m Row for time (3 min cap)

WORKOUT DESCRIPTION
With a running clock of 6 minutes, athletes will perform:
Event 5 – On 3-2-1..Go! Athlete will perform 500m row for time. Once 500m is completed time will be recorded. Athlete will the rest the remainder of time until 3 minute time cap is reached. If athlete is unable to perform 500m under time cap of 3 minutes, 1 second will be add to final score for every meter missed.

Score: Time to complete 500m row.

Event 6 – on the 3:00 mark, athlete will then begin performing as many sandbag step overs for 3 minutes. Box height is 20” for all divisions.

Score: Total number of repetitions completed before the 3 minute time cap.

TEAM TEST 1: SHAKA BRAH (EVENTS 1-2)

WORKOUT DESCRIPTION
PART A (E1) On 3-2-1…Go! Team will perform 100 DUs. Athletes may switch at any time during the workout. Once 100 DUs are completed, time will be recorded.

PART B (E2) With remaining time, Team will then immediately perform as many repetitions as possible of 10 HSPU, then 15 Power Snatches, then 20 T2B, then 25 WB shots. Only (1) athlete may work at a time. Athletes may switch at any time. This sequence of movements and rep scheme will continue until time expires.

PART A: Time to complete 100 DUs
PART B: Total repetitions completed before the time cap

Time cap: 7 minutes.

TEAM TEST 2: HANG 10 (EVENT 3)

AMRAP in 5 MIN:

A2 will perform bar hang on pull up bars while A1 performs tasks, and vise versa. Athletes may switch at any time.

AT THE COMPLETION OF 1-MINUTE REST AFTER TEST 1, ATHLETE MAY THEN MOVE FORWARD TO BEGIN TEST 2

WORKOUT DESCRIPTION
On 3-2-1…Go! Athlete 1 will perform 10 Front Squats, then 10 C2B pull ups, then 10 Shoulder to overhead. A2 must hang on the pull up bar, while A1 performs task for the repetition to count. Athletes may switch at any time. A1 must hold the barbell in the front rack or hanging DL position, while A2 performs pull ups, and vice versa. This sequence will continue until time expires.

TEAM TEST 3: BARBELL LADDER (EVENT 4)

2 Cleans (Power or Squat)

WORKOUT DESCRIPTION
With a running clock of 6 minutes, team will perform simultaneously Max Calorie Row (E5) and Max SB step overs (E6). On 3-2-1..Go! A1 will begin on the rower, while A2 will perform SB step overs. Athletes may switch at any time during the workout. This sequence will continue until the time cap is reached. Test 4 has (2) separate scores (E5) total Calories Rowed as team and (E6) the total number of SB step overs completed before the 6 minute time cap.
