What is Beasts & Barbellas?

Warrior Affiliate League in Association with BANG Energy Drinks presents:

“BEASTS & BARBELLAS” 2-Person Team Functional Fitness/ CF Competition

BEASTS & BARBELLAS is a 2-person (MM/FF/MF) Functional Fitness Team Competition for athletes of all skill levels.

If you are new to CF, this is a great first comp. Our FUN division loads are do-able for those who have been ting for less than 6 months.  If you are a veteran ter, our ADV and INT divisions will challenge you while still having FUN at the same time!  Don’t miss your chance to compete in this Epic team event!  Grab a friend and build your power team.

JUN 16 – JUN 30: $80 per person ($160/team)

JUL 1 – JUL 15: $90 per person ($180/team)*

JUL 16 until sold out: $100 per person ($200 per team)*

Entry fee covers: Team entry fee for 2 persons, (2) Event T-shirts, (1) Team Name Plate, 5+ scored workouts, and lots of FUN with the fitness community.

One person registers and pays for the team (team captain). Have team members’ names, emails, shirt sizes, birthdates, etc. available when registering.

REFUND POLICY:

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS TO FUTURE EVENTS. NO EXCEPTIONS. Athlete substitution accepted up until event day, by having your new athlete sign your team waiver prior to start of event.

E3 (PART C ) WITH REMAINING TIME
MAX EFFORT TOES TO BAR
(FUN – HANGING KNEE UP)

Workout Description:
On 3-2-1..Go! Team will enter GRID.
(E1) A2 must hang from the pull up bar, while A1 performs the barbell triplet for repetition to be counted. If A2 falls off pull up bar, repetition of barbell will not be counted. Athletes may switch at any time. Time will be recorded once barbell triplet is completed, and team will hen have a mandatory 1 minute rest.

(E2) At the conclusion of the mandatory 1 minute rest, team will re-enter GRID. A2 will hold barbell in the deadlift position, while A1 performs DB triplet. Athletes may switch at any time. As per previously explained, DB repetition will only be counted if A2 has the barbell off the ground in the deadlift position. Once the DB triple is complete, time will be recorded.

(E3) Then immediately, Team will perform max effort Toes 2 Bar with remaining time. Only one athlete may work at one-time. Athletes may switch at any time.

TEST 1 will have 3 separate scores:
(E1) Time to complete PART A
(E2) Time to complete PART B
(E3) Total reps T2B.

Time cap: 15 minutes.

TEST 2 - BEASTMASTER - STRENGTH - Events 4, 5

E4 – 4RM BENCH PRESS (A1)
E5 – 4RM FRONT SQUAT (A2)

Workout Description:
At the conclusion of TEST 1, teams will have a 3 minute rest period prior to the start of TEST 2. During this time teams may preload the barbell prior to the start of the TEST 2. On the call of 3-2-1..Go! A1 will find a heavy 4 Rep Max Bench Press. A2 will spot A1 during lift attempt. All athletes may assist with loading the barbell between lifts. Once A1 has recorded a successful heavy 4RM bench press, with remaining time, A2 will then find a heavy 4RM Front Squat.

All lifts will be performed off a rack.

TEST 2 will have 2 separate scores:
E4 – Heaviest successful load of 4 Rep Bench Press
E5 – Heaviest successful load of 4 Rep Front Squat

Time cap: 10 minutes.

 

TEST 3 - FLOATER - Events 6, 7

E6 – 4 Rounds for time – Shuttle Sprints

– 1 minute Rest –

E7 – As many rounds as possible in 3 minutes of Sled Push

SLED LOADS:

Workout Description:
On 3-2-1..Go! A1 will enter GRID and perform shuttle runs, while A2 waits behind the start line. Each athlete must complete the entire shuttle run of 5FT-10FT-15FT-20FT-25FT, prior to tagging out. Athletes will alternate taking turns in this fashion. Time will stop once 4 rounds are completed. Team will then be given a 1 minute rest. At the conclusion of the mandatory 1 minute rest, Team will then perform as many repetitions as possible of sled push in 3 minutes.

TEST 3 will have 2 separate scores:
E6 – Time to complete 4 rounds of shuttle sprint
E7 – Total reps of sled push

Time cap: 6 minutes

Teams will be responsible to schedule their FLOATER prior to their division score submission deadline. No scores will be accepted after the specific division score submission deadline. NO EXCEPTIONS.
