Deuces Wild 2020

What is Deuces Wild?

Deuces Wild is a 2-person (MM, FF, or MF) functional fitness team competition for athletes of all skill levels. 4+ separate scored events to find a balanced bad ass team and true winner in a GRID-style relay race format to include elements of strength, skill, gymnastics, fitness, and strategy.

If you are new to CF, this event makes for a great first competition. FUN divisions loads are do-able for those first timers or new CF of less than 6 months.  For the veteran, this event is for YOU! Our Advanced and Intermediate Divisions are challenging, yet FUN!!

Grab a friend and build your Super Team Duo. Register early, this event will sell out fast.

Price Fee Schedule

DEC 31 – JAN 31: $140 per team*.

FEB 1- FEB 28: $150 per team*.

MAR 1- MAR 7: $160 per team*.

MAR 8 -MAR 31: $175 per team*.

APR 1 until sold out: $200 per team*.

Entry fee covers: Team entry fee for 2 persons, 4+ separate scored events, (2) exclusive athlete event shirts, team name plate, sponsor goodies at check-in, access to a huge vendor village, and an opportunity to prove your fitness in front of family, friends, and the largest crowds in Southern California with ultimate prize packs for podium teams!

TO REGISTER:

One person registers and pays for the team (team captain). Have team members’ names, emails, shirt sizes, birth-dates, etc. available when registering. Ladies – please indicate if your choose a Women’s tank top or Men’s T-shirt.

WORKOUT 1: POKER FACE

Event 1 – FOR TIME: (12 MINUTES CAP)

Event 2 – WITH REMAINING TIME, AMRAP OF:

WORKOUT DESCRIPTION: E1 – On 3-2-1..Go! Team will enter grid and perform 25 toes to bar, then 35 partner deadlifts, then 45 WB shots to target. Team will then change barbell load to appropriate weight and perform 55 hang cleans, sharing same barbell. Then 45 WBS, then team will reload barbell to appropriate load and perform 35 partner DL, then 25 T2B, in that sequence. Time will stop once chipper is complete with final synchro T2B. E1 score is fastest time to complete pyramid chipper. E2 – with remaining time on the clock, team will perform max effort on rig of: ADV ring muscle ups, INT/MIX chin over bar pull ups, FUN ring rows. E2 score is team sum of perspective gymnastics bar movement perform within time cap. Time cap: 12 minutes.

WORKOUT 2: THE FLOP (Floater)

Events 3 & 4 – FOR TIME:

Perform 500m SKI Erg
Event 3: Fastest Athlete Time Recorded
Event 4: Slower Athlete Time Recorded

Workout Description: Each athlete will perform 500m Ski Erg for time.

This event has (2) separate scores: Event 3 – Fastest recorded time, and Event 4 – Slower recorded time.

WORKOUT 3: BLACKJACK

Event 5 – AMRAP 3 minutes:

7 Box Jump Overs [M 24″, F 20″, FUN 20″ step overs]
50 FT SLED DRAG*
50 FT SLED PULL*

Workout Description: On 3-2-1..Go! A1 will perform 1 round of 7 box jump overs, then 50-feet sled drag, 50-feet sled pull, then A1 may tag in A2. This sequence will continue for 3 minutes. FUN division will perform 7 box step overs vs. Jump overs. Both feet must touch top of box for repetition to count. Athlete must complete full round before tagging in teammate.
Score: Total repetitions accumulated as a team in 3 minutes

WORKOUT 4: JACKPOT

Event 6 – For Time (4 min cap):

500m team sandbag run, then with remaining time

Event 7 – AMRAP**

Workout Description: Teams will be assigned (1) sandbag. Teammates will be tethered together with a rope prior to start of workout.

On 3-2-1..Go! Team will run 500m with sandbag. Athletes may trade off sandbag at any time during run. Once last athlete of team crosses start line, time will be recorded. Athletes will then remove tether rope. A1 will then carry sandbag 25-feet  into GRID 1 and perform 6 sandbag thrusters, then carry SB 25ft into GRID 2 and perform 6 SB ground to Overhead, then carry SB 50-feet back to A2 waiting at start line. A1 will hand off sandbag to A2, then A2 will perform exact sequence as A1. This will continue until 4 minute cap expires.
This event has (2) separate scores: Event 6: fastest time for team 500m SB run, and Event 7: Total repetitions accumulated as a team.
