Mike’s Fitness Equipment, Diamond Pro, PastParallel and T-Mobile are proud to present: Three Amigos – a three person functional fitness Team Competition for athletes of all skill levels, and is one of the biggest events taking place outdoors at Prado Regional Park! Come out in the SUN and be part of this great event!

5 Divisions

Teams consist of 3 athletes of the same gender (3 men or 3 women)

  • Men’s: Advanced and Intermediate

  • Women’s: Advanced, Intermediate, and Just 4 FUN


One person registers and pays for the team (team captain).

Have team members’ names, emails, shirt sizes, birthdates, etc. available when registering.

Changes can be made online any time prior to September 1, 2016.

5 Divisions. Prizes awarded Top 3 finishers in each division except Just 4 FUN. Spectators FREE.

Event Workouts!

WOD 1: “Coyote Ugly”

3 minute max distance: Axle Bar Overhead Walk
ADV 55s/35s, INT 45s/25s, FUN 15s

Event Description: Athlete will carry axle bar overhead for 35 yards out and 35 yards back. Athlete 1 may tag team mate at any point during workout, athlete 2 in will continue where athlete 1 left off. This rotation will continue with athlete 3.

*** 1 minute transition, then directly into WOD 2

WOD 2: “Nacho Libre”

For time: (9 min cap)

  • 50 Axle Bar Deadlifts
  • 50 Axle Bar Sumo DLHP
  • 50 Axle Bar shoulder to OH
  • Handstand Walk 25 yards, INT/FUN – wheel barrel walk

Event Description: Team will move from each grid completing each exercise and sharing reps as a group. All reps for previous movement must be completed before moving to the next movement. Only 1 athlete may work at one time. Athletes may switch at any point during exercise.

Weight loads: ADV 55s/35s, INT 45s/25s, FUN 15s

WOD 3: “Mexican Fire Drill”

11 minute running clock

A. 2 minute max  Calorie Row
– 1 minute transition
B. 2 minute max Burpee Box Jumps, 24” / 20”
– 1 minute transition
C. 2 minute max Calorie Assault Bike
– 1 minute transition
D. 2 minute max Heavy MB over Yoke

ADV – 100#/80#, INT – 80#/50#, FUN-30#.
Height of yoke will be set at a standard height for all athletes and will be announced on day of event.

Event Description: 2 minute max repetitions at each station. Teams will be placed in a lottery in regards to which station they will begin. Only one athlete may work a time. Athletes may switch at any point of the workout.  Score is sum of max reps accumulated in all stations.

WOD 4: “Devious Maids”

Squat Clean Speed Ladder (5 bars pre-loaded)
5-4-3-2-1 squat cleans for time (3 minute cap)

Weight Loads:
ADV Men – 155, 185, 205, 225, 255
ADV Women – 95, 105, 115, 135, 155
INT Men – 135, 155, 185, 205, 225
INT Women – 75, 95, 105, 115. 135
FUN – 45, 65, 75, 85, 95

Event Description:
Team will have 3 minute cap to complete speed ladder of 5 pre-loaded barbells. Team will share rep scheme. Only 1 athlete may work at one-time. Athletes may switch at any point throughout workout. Team may not advance until all repetitions of current barbell are competed. Score is fastest time to complete ladder as a team. 15 seconds will be added to team final time for any repetitions not successfully lifted within time cap.
