Deuces Wild 2018


Deuces Wild is a 2-person, same gender (MM or FF), functional fitness team competition for athletes of all skill levels. Proceeds to benefit the SVHS AVID program that assists student’s college application fees, as well as assist costs for school campus visits. $10 parking fee.

Whether your are new to CF, or a veteran CrossFitter, this event is for YOU! Grab a friend and build your ultimate team duo. Register early, this event will sell out fast.

Teams consist of 2 male or 2 female athletes



One person registers and pays for the team (team captain). Have team members’ names, emails, shirt sizes, birthdates, etc. available when registering. Ladies – please indicate if you’re choosing a Women’s tank top or Men’s T-shirt.

EVENT 1 - Texas hold 'em

For Time (6 minute cap)
30 Clean & Jerks
30 Front Squats
A2: D-ball bear hug hold
A1: Barbell movements**

INT 135/85, D-ball 100/60
FUN 115/55, D-ball 70/50

Workout Description: Team members will begin on start pad. On 3-2-1..Go! A1 will begin performing Clean & Jerks (C+J), while A2 holds heavy d-ball in bear hug position. **Athletes may switch at anytime. Once team completes 30 C+J, they will perform 30 Front Squats.  Once 30 Front Squats are completed, team will then run to finish line. Time will stop once the final athlete crossed the finish line. Time Cap: 6 minutes

50-feet sled push

**weights to be announced on day of event. Event 2 will immediately follow Event 1, after 1 minute transitional period.



350-yard shuttle sprint for time

Event Description: On 3-2-1..GO!! Both athletes will sprint 25 yards and back, then 30 yards and back, 45 yards and back, and 50 yards and back, then sprint the full length to the finish line. Time will stop once both athletes cross the finish line. Time cap: 3 minutes


EVENT 4 - ACES in the HOLE

Mystery Workout!

Details to be announced on day of event. Event 4 will immediately follow Event 3, after 1 minute transitional period.

200m D-ball bear hug carry
30 D-ball Cleans
200m D-ball bear hug carry
15-yards D-ball walking lunges
200m D-ball bear hug carry

Workout Description: On 3-2-1…Go! Team will perform 30 D-ball Front Squats. Only one athlete may work at a time. Once team completes 30 DB Front Squats, they will then perform 200m walk/run together. One athlete must bear hug carry D-ball. Athletes may alternate at anytime. Ball may not touch ground at any point during the 200m course. Once team returns to their lane, team will then perform 30 D-ball cleans. Once 30 DB cleans are completed, team will then repeat 200m DB bear hug walk/run. Once team returns from 200m carry, team will perform 20-yard walking lunge with D-ball. Athletes may switch at anytime. Once walking lunge distance is complete, team will perform final 200m DB bear hug carry, Once team crosses finish line after completing 200m course, time will stop. Score is fastest time to complete chipper. Time cap: 11 minutes
