WHAT?

FANTASTIC FOUR Teams of 4-person Functional Fitness/ CrossFit Team Competition for athletes of all skill levels, and hosted by La Puente CrossFit in City of Industry.

If you are new to CrossFit, this event makes for a great first competition. FUN divisions loads are doable for those first timers or new CrossFit of less than 6 months.  For the veteran CrossFitter, this event is for YOU! You will be challenged in the Advanced and Intermediate divisions. Don’t miss your chance to compete in this Epic team event!  Grab 3 friends and build your power team. At least 1 athlete in your team has to be able to perform the following movements: Pull ups, Toes-to-bar, Double-Unders. Weight load will be similar to the intermediate division.

Team CALORIE Ski Erg

Workout description:

Clarification of Quad Squad Division: QS Men division will do weight loads of Co-Ed Rx divisions, and perform gymnastics movements as described in Co-Ed INT division. QS Women division will perform weight loads and gymnastics movements as described in Co-Ed INT division.

E1-E2-E3-E4 will be performed with an 11 minute running clock. All Co-ED divisions must maintain MF pairs at all times throughout workout.

Event 1: On 3-2-1…Go! A1+A2 pairs will enter GRID 1 while A3+A4 will perform Max CAL Ski Erg (Event 4). A1 will perform power snatches, while A2 holds barbell off ground in front rack or deadlift hang position. Athletes will share rep scheme, and can switch at anytime. Once 10 power snatches are completed, A2 performs double-unders, while A1 holds barbell off ground. This will continue for 3 minutes. With every round completed, team will advance to the next GRID. Repetitions completed after 3 minutes will comprise Event 1 score. There will be a 1 minute transition period between E1 and E2, in which team will change barbell to appropriate weight loads during transition period.

Event 2 begins at the 4:00 mark, with team pairs A3+A4 performing couplet of 7 thrusters and 3 ring muscle ups. Barbell again must remain off ground while teammate performs task.  Athletes will share rep scheme and can switch at anytime. Score is max reps completed in 3 minutes. Team will change barbell to appropriate weight loads during 1 minute transition between E2 and E3.

Event 3 begins at the 8:00 mark, with pairs performing couplet of power snatches and bar facing burpees. A1 performs power snatches, while A2 keeps barbell off floor. Once 10 power snatches are completed, A2 performs bar facing burpees, while A1 holds barbell of floor. Athletes share rep scheme and may switch at anytime. This will continue for 3 minutes. Final score for Event 3 is reps completed in 3 minutes.

Event 4 will be performed simultaneously with E1-E2-E3, begins at 0:00 mark, and ends 11:00 mark. E4 is performed during transitional period, and will continue for the entire 11 minutes. Score is max calorie Ski Erg recorded by team.

Workout description:

Event 5: On 3-2-1..Go! With a 7 minute running clock, team will enter GRID 1 and perform 10 worm squats. Once 10 worm squats are complete, team will then advance worm to GRID 2 and perform 9 worm shoulder to overhead. This will continue, team advances to GRID 3 and will perform 8 lateral over the worm burpees. Team advances to GRID 4 and performs 7 worm cleans. Once 7 worm cleans are complete, entire team will run back to start line. Once last athlete crosses start line, time will be recorded for Event 5.

Event 6 will immediately begin in which team runs to GRID 4 and performs 7 worm cleans, then advance to GRID 3 to perform 8 worm burpees, advancing to GRID 2 for 9 worm S2OH, then to GRID 1 performing 10 worm squats. Once team completes 10 worm squats, team runs toward finish line. Time stops once last athlete crosses finish line. Event 6 score is the time to complete both E5 and E6.

Workout Description:

Each team will have a pair of kettlebells and dumbbells per lane. All Co-ED divisions must maintain MF pairs in GRID at all times throughout workout.

Co-ED ADV/Rx Division:

GRID 1: On 3-2-1..Go! Teams of MF pairs will enter Grid 1. A1 will perform rope climbs, while A2 must hold both KB off floor. KBs must remain off floor for rep to count. A3+A4 must stay behind start line. Athletes may tag out at anytime throughout event. Teammates may switch with same gender only. Only 2 athletes allowed on the GRID at one time. Once Rope climbs are completed. A2 will perform 50 feet KB farmer carry. A2 will walk toward finish line, go around cone, then place KB into GRID 3. A1+A2 then tag teammates A3+A4.

GRID 2: A3+A4 enters GRID 2. A3 performs rope climbs, while A4 holds DB off ground. Once rope climbs are complete A4 will perform single DB OH lunge, with second DB on opposite shoulder or at side, to finish line, then place DB in GRID 4.

GRID 3: This will continue with A1 performing 5 bar muscle ups, while A2 holds KBs. Once Bar MUs are completed, A2 will perform 20 KB deadlifts. Once KB DL completed, A2 will tag A3.

GRID 4: A3 will enter GRID 4 and perform 40ft. Handstand walk, while A4 holds DBs. Once HS walk is complete, A4 will perform 20 alternating DB snatches, while A3 holds other DB off floor. Once 20 DB snatches are complete, A3+A4 tag A1+A2, and team runs to finish line. Time stops once final athlete crosses finish line.

Co-ED INT & Quad Squad (QS) Division:

Athlete may may substitute box jump overs for pistols. Athlete may substitute 4 rope progressions for one (1) 15ft rope climb ascent. Team must choose between 5 bar MUs or 8 burpee pull ups, no mixing will be allowed. Team must choose between 40 ft handstand walk or 70 ft Wheelbarrow walk, no mixing will be allowed.

**QS Men division will do weight loads of Co-Ed Rx divisions, and perform gymnastics movements as described in Co-Ed INT division. QS Women division will perform weight loads and gymnastics movements as described in Co-Ed INT division.

FUN Division:

All weight loads as listed is for both FUN Co-ED and FUN 4Men teams. All Women FUN division will perform above task with alternate listed weight load. Athlete may substitute 4 rope progressions for one (1) 15ft rope climb ascent. WAL will announce 1st place finishers only in each category FUN co-ed, FUN All Men, and FUN All Women during podium ceremony.
